So what was that super high-pitched noise that played at the beginning of the episode? Thankfully it went to a tolerable level as the episode went on, but it was super annoying. I don’t remember anything like that happening before.
It’s a shame that the problem wasn’t resolved before the episode started because the screeching covers the audio even in the YouTube encode, but I’m still curious as to what the cause was.

I have listened to the episode on 4 sets of speaker snow, and only on my laptop have a been able to MAYBE here a high pitched sound that goes beyond the typical hiss that all sound recordings have. Maybe this is an age thing? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxcbppCX6Rk

That makes sense. As a reference, according to the video, my audible limit is between 15 kHz and 16 kHz.
As an experiment, I ripped the audio for part 1 (for which I can clearly hear the noise) and part 5.5 (for which I do not) and did a frequency analysis with Audacity. In both cases, I detected 2 spikes: one around 14.5 kHz and another around 15 kHz. I then tried to lower the pitch by 50% for both tracks, and all of a sudden I could clearly hear the noise on part 5.5 as well!
To make sure, I did the same experiment with part 24 the last Wind Waker episode. No audio spikes in the frequency analysis, and nothing wrong when lowering the pitch either.
Here’s some audio clips I made with 50% pitch as a reference. The noise sounds like crickets after the transformation:

Thanks for that research. It’s very hard for me diagnose somethign I can’t hear. If it happens again during a show I will fiddle with some knobs until the audience says it has gone.

Becky, you have outdone yourself with that Octo-Frash costume.

Thank you, thank you @lionheart21! It was a difficult one to pull off, but I think it ended up looking great!

Wow they could totally pull of a Voltron thing except no one can control the head.

Holy crap, Becky! That Octodad get up is schweet!
This game is awesome. I got my tentacles on it as soon as it released. I laughed out loud numerous times. It’s short but an absolute blast.

I’m jealous of Ben’s beard growing skills. It’s just so majestic, I hope he never shaves it.

Played through this with my girlfriend last night. Great game and lots of fun. Only one complaint though, I felt a lot of times that the camera was working against you. But I understand that this is no big-budget game with loads of developers so it is a very minor complaint. Great stuff!
