So me and a few others had the idea to dub AVG in german (don´t ask how we got there. it was weird).
Right now i have the first episode scripted and Caelnias as Dads voice. What i would need are two people who can speak decent german to dub Ace and Chet.
If you´re interested pm me here on the forum or on steam and we can talk about everything. How we´re gonna record this is something im currently thinking about.
The editing will probably be done by me but if you are a editing genius and willing to help I won´t say no.Disclaimer: This is nothing official and just for fun so there´s no payment involved.
April 22, 2012 at 11:08 pm #26034You, w1nker, will obviously end up being German Ace want it or not.
As it’s just for funzies, we could just wing it and do live dubovers in the style of old Hong Kong martial arts movies. Apparently Godfrey Ho’s movies were mostly dubbed by just watching the movie and trying to fit the script to what was going on on the screen without splicing it up into small parts. Luckily we only have a small part.
Alternatively we could be all professional-like and record individual clips that would be magicked in the editing room, but that just sounds too good.
You don’t technically need a super good mic as long as you have a way to cut down white noise from the background, so don’t worry if you’re lacking in equipment.
April 22, 2012 at 11:48 pm #26040Well i would rather not dub myself but if it comes down to it I will do it.
As for the live dubbing that sounds like a good idea actually. The only problem we could run into is the speed ace and chet are talking in.
April 23, 2012 at 12:01 am #26041If Ben can do it anyone can do it!
April 23, 2012 at 9:43 am #26072I could… Maybe… Probably do it. I can speak german, but I’m unsure about the thickness of my accent, heh.
April 23, 2012 at 10:39 am #26077Great dragriff. Don´t worry about your accent. We´re not aiming for total seriousness with this dub so that´s okay.
April 24, 2012 at 9:05 am #26221I’ll just let you know that I’m still interested in acting for it.
April 24, 2012 at 9:29 am #26224Great pac. Now we have two people so we can beginn planning.
I originally wanted to start recording today so tell me when you guys have time.April 26, 2012 at 1:30 pm #26647Ok guys. Recording will be on Sunday starting at 12am GMT.
Since i never done something like that has anyone a suggestion on what programm would be best to record everything?I will also stream the recording cause i think this has the potential to be very funny.
April 26, 2012 at 11:05 pm #26749Eh, Audacity should work well enough I suppose!
April 27, 2012 at 8:02 am #26814Yesh, Audacity should be good for that.
April 27, 2012 at 9:03 am #26822Ok thanks guys. i´ll look into that then.
April 29, 2012 at 6:31 pm #27366If you need anyone else, I am in fact german and I am in germany so I could do anything basically accent free. :)
May 3, 2012 at 1:11 pm #28032Hey @mrzodd . sorry for not responding. haven’t looked in here for a few days.
If it turns out that pacs or dragriffs accent is too thick to understand anything i’ll come back to you.
But for right now we’re good.Edit: Oh wait. maybe we’re doing more so we would need a lester. but that’s not sure at all.

May 3, 2012 at 10:47 pm #28136Do you have the original script in English? I can’t really do voice acting let alone reading German texts, but if you do I can certainly translate it into my own tongue (Japanese). This way every major language can have at least subtitles.
