OK folks. As the label on the left says, I’m luckysimon, and common opinion is that I’m insane.
Well, SilentWindofDoom has kinda unhooked the straight jacket and I’ve basically decided to just go bat-shit insane for the Olympic build.
How insane? Click here: http://tiny.cc/bfkmhw
See those buildings on the hill? Yeah, I (and with some help) are going to build most of that in historia…behind a temple of Hera we’ll also be building (including the hills they stand on and the walls, and hopefully the statue). The temple of Hera is where the Olympic torch is lit so I’ll be reconstructing it to serve the same purpose for our summer games.
Now, surrounding that spot is the great wall, a nazca line, el castilo (chitchen itza) the spiral minnerate, and the hanging gardens…so we’re greeking it up a bit by building as much of the accropolis as possible behind the temple to act as a back drop.
This is why I’m calling for help. We’re going to need some help with the materials, and some help with the actual construction. So, if you have any brick, sandstone, cobble, dirt, wool (specifically white, blue, brown, green and gold) it would be much appreciated. There are already unlocked donation boxes in historia. Just exit the portal room and hug the right side of the great wall of china and you can’t miss them.
Also, if you want to help us build it, please let me know. So far it’s just me and Neverpleased working on this. And here’s the fun part (and why I keep pointing out the insanity). We’re going to build all of it in the same build time as the rest of the competition. IE, we’re starting Monday and ending Saturday. Preferably earlier.
So, any takers? (If you donate, please say here what you have donated, just so we can account for it all and prevent theft)

July 18, 2012 at 5:40 am #43623donated 27 stacks of Cobble. I may donate some more later on
July 18, 2012 at 9:26 am #43645I just donated 52 stacks cobble, 18 stacks dirt, and 10 stacks of sandstone. I’d love to help if you catch me when I’m on, but my schedule is too erratic to make exact date/time commitments.
July 18, 2012 at 11:54 am #43675its not much but donated 7 stacks of dirt, 7 stacks of white wool, 4 stacks of blue wool, and a 1/2 stack of brick(not being cheap thats all i had)
July 18, 2012 at 1:46 pm #43695Do you have an estimate of how much of each material you’ll need? I donated three stacks of yellow, 1 blue, 1 white and 1.5 stacks of sandstone, but I should be able to come up with more when you know what you need.
I’ll also be free to lend a hand once the basketball arena is done, so I’ll try to do that in the beginning of building period.
July 19, 2012 at 6:26 am #43805I deposited some wool and brick, but mostly about 15 or so stacks of cobble and dirt each. I may donate more once the challenge starts; I need to make sure I have enough materials for my own project.
July 21, 2012 at 12:04 pm #44245I have almost 5 double chests of dirt and almost 4 double chests of cobble at my ranch that you are more than welcome to. Problem is I’m new to the server so my ranch doesn’t have a portal yet. If I can get help transporting it all its yours. My ranch is at -5777,-4613 and my warehouse is located in the stone brick building at -5780,-4719. Troll Rend has the closest portal.
July 23, 2012 at 3:36 pm #44634Donated 24 stacks of cobble, 6 stacks of sandstone and 3 stacks of coal.
