I once tried to play Fatal Frame 2, but got so freaked out when I saw the “ring girl” crawl out of a box in the background and come towards me that I have yet to play it again. I will fully admit that I can not handle those types of games, I tried and luckily I got it used and rather cheap.
I am just wondering if something like that has happened to anyone else?
July 19, 2012 at 9:14 am #43823I’ve heard stories of people playing “Slender” and getting so scared they Screamed “NOPE NOPE NOPE” while paasing the game. The shocking part is that they’re used to the Horror genre in general too.
July 19, 2012 at 9:27 am #43824I have watched someone play that game. It doesn’t seem that frightening, but I am sure I would be freaking out if I was playing it.

July 19, 2012 at 10:03 am #43835Wow, wouldn’t have guessed. Reminds me of Kikoskia’s LP of Doom 3…he really didn’t want to play that game.
July 19, 2012 at 10:06 am #43836I can totally understand not wanting to play doom 3. I hear its terrifying.
July 19, 2012 at 10:29 am #43844I’ve been wanting to force my friend into playing Slender with me on my youtube…he didn’t want to though. Porbably because he is one the easiest people to scare.
Then again I got scared playing Lone Survivor…lol.
July 19, 2012 at 11:37 am #43849This is why, even though I got it in one of the indie bundles, I refuse to install Amnesia. I know I hate being scared, and that I’m totally wimpy.
July 19, 2012 at 12:52 pm #43855I’m one of those people who loves being scared but hates being scared….i’m a moron like that so i’ll play all the things.
The scarier, the better, the creepier, the “traumatizer” , the less sleepier….what am I saying…..
July 19, 2012 at 1:31 pm #43856Keep on posting people. I’m always interested in finding new games, especially horror games that actually are scary.
July 19, 2012 at 1:57 pm #43863Right now? Slender. Couldn’t be more basic, but something about it is scary as hell. I’ll have to give it another try tonight, but last time it had me yelling at the screen.

July 19, 2012 at 2:17 pm #43874I’ve been really loving Slender, as Twitchmonkey says it’s very basic but it just seems to have nailes it’s atmosphere, it’s not as subtle and therefore not as scary as Amnesia but it has worked out what it needs to for the game to really get under your skin.
I don’t tend to fear quit, being scared makes me want to keep on playing though Silent Hill 2 has made me have to shut it off through the sheer intensity of being within close proximity to Pyramid Head so I’ll say that.

July 19, 2012 at 4:00 pm #43890I have a rather unique relationship to scary games. I am usually intrigued with them. I want to hear the story and know what happens, yet I will not play them. I LOVE the Silent Hill series, yet I will never play the games. I love watching them be played though, even though there are a few I am hesitant to watch. Cry of Fear and SCP: Containment Breach are two Let’s Plays that I am hesitant to watch.
