Sorry about those baseless comments, I was just basing it off what happened in Assassins Creed (I know it’s bad, but it could’ve gone better coughChatyoutrolledFraserwhenhereallydidneedhelpcough)

Lmao. The shows future will be fine. If you have a rule breaker or an harassment, report it to a mod via message.

Those problems will not ruin the show’s future…..maybe your experience but not the shows future. This is sort of pointless.

    1. Who’s incompetence are we talking about? Is it Fwash-Fwash’s? It’s Fwash-Fwash’s isn’t it?
    2. Derp… But, actually, hm? Who doesn’t know what derp means?
    3. Wut? How do their youtube comments make any difference to the Show?

    My response:

    1) This has always been the case, but with a smaller audience and less people calling them out it went mostly by.

    2) Derp: noun. 1. Offputtingly disturbing. 2. Cute in the way that a baby giraffe learns to walk.

    3) Burn the Tubes! Burn them I say!

    1. Fraser’s incompetence is part of the humor. Yes at times it is frustrating, but at others it creates comedy gold. Personally I think it’s less trolling and more genuine. If it really bothers you that much, then stick with the highlights.
    2. Chat is pretty dumb these days, I suggest a more proactive campaign to educate turbos their Derp/Snarf responsibilities. A reminder at the start of every show might help.
    3. Ignore Youtube comments. Why read them anyway? It’s not like they ever have anything interesting to say.

I agree that the Chat is pretty..well…Herpy-derpy, but I think it comes with a lot of Turbo new comers as of recent as well as the chats growth. The bigger the chat the more chances for derps. It also just so happens that the dumbest people are usually the loudest..so you have to factor that in too. Fraser himself has noted there may come a day where he has to cap the Turbos, which if such is the way of the future, I don’t think it will change much, except maybe a few more expected donations from the already turboed Turbo club.

I agree with Soghog, though, about Fraser. I don’t find it frustrating much, though I’m sure Fwa-Fwa does XD. That’s Fraser’s style and honestly what makes VGA what it is. If I wanted a more thorough play through I’d look up a Let’s Play or something. Lol not to say you WERE talking about Fraser, Frostbyte, but still. Incompetence can be played for laughs, so take it a bit more light hearted, eh?

As for the comments, I feel like the trolls should be ignored, but at the same time we should stick up for the VGA team and explain the style of the show to new comers who are all up at arms about the execution with VGA which they may not be familiar with. Fraser is honest and genuine and thus can come off more imperfect and rigid to those who are used to the masks most internet celebs wear. The way he plays games is simply how HE plays games. Let people know of this and it’s not in their taste, then maybe they should find another show? ^_^

VGA will be fine as long as Fraser doesn’t Frage himself into not wanting to do it, which I don’t think will happen anytime soon cause he appreciates those of us who stick with him. That goes for all of VGA too :)

Don’t see the problem with most of this. I would fall into a deep depression if Fraser was better at games than me or Youtube commenters were smarter. As for the chat, what can you expect from the kind of asshole that would give Fraser $50?

That response was a little douchey, be careful.

OT:Don’t worry. If people in the chat aren’t following the Snarf or Derp rule then inform a COM or MOD of big offenders. That person hopefully will get a warning. Fraser usually is hilariously incompetent you will just have to roll with it, even when it is painfully frustrating. I would like you to remember this famous quote in regards to Youtube comments, “Youtube, a wretched hive of scum and villainy.”

I will be pissed if the chat ruins my favorite next gen series, Assassin’s Creed, for people. I’ll say that much but other than that “lol overeaction”.

In my personal opinion a decline in quality of the derps/snarfs in chat is not really happening.

If I watch the last few episodes I notice kind of a pattern though, which could lead someone to thinking that. When the chat is fopping around and talking about mundane stuff Becky is reading, she gets bored and looks away again. If we are giving snarfs or derps, shes mostly not looking, because she still thinks we are screwing around. And lastly if we are asked to help, suddenly its like in the old wild days on twitch, you see every kind of crap but most of it is not helpful or just wrong, funny thing is this happens only when we are asked for help. Our info is mostly solid if no one is reading it.

So I see 3 problems that need changing in my opinion:

    1. Less off topic rabble rabble in chat, yes we all love it, but it has gone overboard in my opinion. I’ve seen people have full blown workplace discussions live on the show for gods sake. Thats what the forums are for.

    2. Becky needs to read more again, which will be easier and less of a pain because of reason 1

    3. Troll Fraser anytime you want BUT the time he askes for help: If he wants help, dont troll, dont suppose, KNOW and ANSWER.

And for youtube comment and frasers ineptitude, just deal with it, one part is the backalley of the internet, the other one is the reason the show is what it is.

This thing about Becky not reading as much as she used to, I know it’s not quite what you were saying Cthuloops but I’ve seen a few people mention this and as far as I’ve observed she still watches the chat a perfectly reasonable amount and relays what she thinks is important, she may miss the occasional helpful remark but everyone is human and she can’t be looking at the chat constantly. If she watches any less at all then it is not a noticeable difference to me and she does have reason to cut it down a little due to her experiences with spoilers and such.

Sorry guys. I’m just making all these baseless assumptions after what happened in Assassins Creed (I know it’s kinda bad, but it could’ve gone better, coughchatyouletFrasedowninhistimeofneedcough)

And thankfully, afeter this week’s 4 swords, I now have my faith restored in Fraser

The snarf derp system has gone to shit quite frankly (Hence fraser relentless mocking of the chat snarfing lately). The reason is that Fraser had the idea that someone being a turbo means they’re serious about this show in ways such as having watched enough shows to know what the snarf/derp system means. In reality being a turo means you have or know someone that has enough disposable income to afford 50 dollars, that’s it. The turbo club holds what, 700+ members now?

In essence the problem isn’t the size or the quick expansion of the turbo club, it’s the fact that Fraser to an extent treats the turbo club the same way as he did when it started and only the most utterly dedicated fans would join. Lately he seems to have noticed that the chat is getting less and less reliable. Sadly I don’t know what the solution for this type of thing is. A good step is having a dedicated informant like Neko for Mass Effect.

I have no idea what the original topic here was (that’s what happens when you remove it), but the discussion seemed to be heading in this direction.

this was bound to happen sooner or latter. Making an exclusive turbo chat in IRC only helped for a short time. I think it’s time to put people in a time out that decide to be dicks and mess with the show or are constantly giving bad info. Only way people will listen is if there is some kind of order and control.

I’m not saying banning anyone from the show but like a hour time for turbos that gave bad snafs that ruin the show or decide to spoil anything. I understand people feel like that need to be a part of the show but recently it has gotten out of hand. At this point there will have to be a super elite turbo club, but fans will loose it and show will suffer from it. Really I think punishing people is really the only way something like this can be controlled in any way. It’s just going to get worse.

My only idea is if this continues chat will be taken away for a while just to show as an example and people then may understand.

Thing is I would hate to see the chat getting sectioned off again. Like Fraser has said part of what makes this show fun is the chat interactions. It’s only when it comes to snarf derp and game tips/info info in general where the current arrangement just doesn’t work.

I really don’t know what a good sollution to this would be. I mean first of all it’d be good if Fraser had a way of distinguishing serious chatters (who know whne it’s time to dick around and when it’s time to be serious) and people who are in the chat just to enjoy the show. That used to be the purpose of turbo club, but like I said that’s not gonna work any more..
