I usually do all my homework in school and basically spend the whole entire night watching VGA. They usually come on 6 pm (In my time zone) so I don’t really have to stress about my VGA planning schedule
May 18, 2012 at 10:59 pm #31421I don’t. I live in Japan with a full time job and have pretty much the same problem with you. A Sunday 3PM show starts at Monday 7AM here, and my company starts from 8AM :( Furthermore I don’t have a time to watch all the recordings either, so I tend to watch my favorite ones (Phoenix Wright shows as of now) only, and for other games I just watch the first 30 min. or so and skip it if it’s not very interesting to me. I wish there was a “highlight” clip for each show, but I know it’s asking too much for now.
May 19, 2012 at 9:25 am #31468This semester, I missed 9o% of the live shows because my school schedule overlapped the streams. But I always make time to catch it on youtube or the site. By doing that, I actually neglected a ton of school work. It was a problem, but I somehow managed to survive the semester with the lack of work I did. With only finals to worry about, now, which I think I’ll be ok for them. It also helps that i stay up till 3-4am doing whatever work I need to do. So yea. I give a lot of time for VGA. But it hinders in schoolwork. I don’t suggest doing what I do to you college and hs students. lolol.
May 19, 2012 at 10:12 pm #31703The show normally starts within the last hour of my job and I end up missing 2 hours of it by the time I get home. If I’m lucky, I can get off early when it’s not busy at work and can catch the show within it’s first hour.
Perhaps the people that catch the show are just the ones who are already off of work or have already done their homework for the day. And, there just some who are younger and don’t have jobs yet. Others work at home or take online classes. And some are just fortunate to have lots of time on their hands.
I feel your pain, though. It’s a bummer that you have to miss the show. But, be happy and thankful that you at least have a job. Others can catch the show, but could be struggling because they’re jobless. Just be happy in the fact that you can get money to support yourself.
May 20, 2012 at 5:59 am #31750Well I work full time so during the week after work I just stay home and relax. They usually start around 6 or 7 for me so its not hard to catch it at all. But sometimes I won’t watch the entire stream or if its a game I’m not interested in I’ll go back to it on and off the night.
May 20, 2012 at 11:15 am #31791The times always sucks for my time zone so I have not watched a single one :(.
May 20, 2012 at 11:51 am #31795I haven’t recently. I’m not interested in Phoenix Wright/Witcher and I don’t want Mass Effect spoilers.
May 20, 2012 at 12:16 pm #31797Often it’s on after my school gets out (High School) and the homework has been very reduced since the school year’s almost done, so I catch them when I get home often. Sometimes I get home later due to me hanging out with friends. I almost never catch the Friday shows though, since I go to FNM (Friday Night Magic) which starts the same time as most Friday shows. I catch those episodes when either they’re playing a game I don’t care much about (Witcher 2) or when it’s an off-day.
May 21, 2012 at 11:50 am #32003I mostly watch the recorded ones, live only the first hour or so (Silly European timezones). The recorded shows run in the background most of the time and some stuff I just skip, but it works for me. The last couple of months I went back to school so I can start College this year, so I had enough spare time at my hands.

May 21, 2012 at 12:46 pm #32016i bought a tablet and watch the show in bed as a token gesture to getting some sleep for work the next morning, so usually only catch a couple of hours of the live show. Managed a few times to 4am and been a zombie in the office next day!
May 21, 2012 at 12:58 pm #32018Basically I’m just selective about shows, like several others here. I watch live episodes I know will be funny like Phoenix Wright or Star Wars Kinect, and if I have time, I watch other recorded episodes if I hear they’re worth watching the whole thing. Otherwise I just watch highlights.
May 21, 2012 at 8:41 pm #32124I usually have at least 1 live show day off if not 2 from work every week and can usually watch the whole stream. I also put in a request saying I can’t work past 7 on Friday’s(the show starts at 8 for me here in Denver) so I can catch 4 player Friday’s although I didn’t tell work that was the reason ha-ha. And for everything else I just download them from blip/YouTube and watch the shows throughout the week.

May 21, 2012 at 11:37 pm #32188I’m in Thailand and Live show is hard for me to watch because when they live it time for me to go to work. I always watch the show by the record episode but sometime I have opportunity to watch live show if it my day off or it on public holiday like minecraft show yesterday too bad the show over early.
May 22, 2012 at 5:15 pm #32400Well as I dont have cable anymore and only watch stuff through my Roku, The internet is my source of TV. I am jobless at the moment so gives me time to watch show live more often. When I did have a job I for the most part watched the recorded shows. You dont have to watch everything. Watch what you think you may be interested in.
At first I did not think I would like The Witcher 2, but I gave it a shot and was hooked! I only watch that show as well as Mass Effect 2 recorded as they tend to be really long shows and even though I have no job I dont have time for 4-6 hour shows in a single sitting. Also sometimes I may watch half a show live then a few days later after the show gets released ill finish it then.
