just thought id ask how outhers play minecraft personally i put on a good audio book and get lost in mineing and the book so how do you play?
May 13, 2012 at 6:30 pm #30451Well, with my fingers, usually.
No but, I usually play with Skype chat or a call on. Or I’ll listen to random tracks from my playlist, lots of Cake, Death Cab for Cutie, show tunes, Metallica, all over the place. Sometimes I’ll spice up a Skype call with random Korean and other tracks from Youtube and so on.
Sometimes someone on the server will be streaming, so I’ll listen to that. It changes every day, but yeah, I almost never play without some kind of background noise.
May 13, 2012 at 6:58 pm #30461Naked in a bath of Yak’s milk, while sipping wine from a goblet.
If that isn’t an option then I’ll usually just be sitting in a chair with a podcast type thing in the background.
May 13, 2012 at 7:05 pm #30465Normally with some podcast on the background, or some epic songs to get me pumped to do some epic spelunking.
Protip: if your computer screen is near your bed, get yourself a gamepad, Joy2key, and get all the benefits of playing minecraft from your bed with a controller without having to get the 360 version :D
May 19, 2012 at 11:11 pm #31712the only way, with starship amazing blasting in the background lol… or some chiptune as well, bit shifter really gets you in the mood…

May 20, 2012 at 9:35 am #31776Normally i would mine and build, but lately I’ve found it more interesting to keep killing myself over and over. Usually switching up the method of death once i get bored of one facet. Mostly alternate between pricking myself, drowning, burning and falling. If it is night though, i will try to find a mob to vanquish me. Lots of torches in the immediate vicinity surrounding my lodging, so i have to run pretty far at times. I don’t try and die to creepers though. Just feel like dying, not fixing creeper holes >.>
May 20, 2012 at 11:04 am #31786I play in a window while I do other things.
Even with music, I sometimes get REALLY BORED.May 20, 2012 at 11:08 am #31788I’m fairly strait-forward. I open the downloadable client and usually log into one of my vent servers in case someone from my site decides they want to talk. Then I either play some major tracks [ The Avengers, Skyrim, etc], play some anime or video game soundtracks on AOL Radio, or – and this is more common and more productive for some reason – play some stand-up comedy on AOL Radio.
For some reason, some of my best stuff is built while listening to Eddy Izzard, Louis Black, or any number of other comedians.
I begin by mining resources in bulk. Often cutting massive amounts of stone and dirt just to collect other resources and I stock-pile everything. Then, once I feel I have done enough, I begin building part of the project.
It’s slow going, but effective.
May 21, 2012 at 5:14 am #31932Ahm… Usually, I play it with a vg music playlist on the background, or one of lordkat’s rpg sessions, or one of the old minecraft awesome episodes.
Btw, I really liked the controller idea. I’ll give it a try!
May 21, 2012 at 2:27 pm #32041Lately I’ve been playing Minecraft with video intermissions. Sometimes I have music playing when I’m gathering things except when exploring caves.
May 21, 2012 at 3:31 pm #32058I play with the tv on or listening to a TGWTG vlog playing in the background.
