Hey guys, was just thinking of some ideas for some things that they could play, and here’s what i came up with.
1. Mirror’s edge: good source for maybe a bit of frage, and also an interesting and new idea with great graphics.
2. Monkey island games: preferably the curse of monkey island, it’s hilarious.
just a thought. Turbo endorsement would help. Thanks.March 15, 2012 at 5:41 pm #19573Now that i think about it, amnesia was pretty great too, maybe some custom stories for that.

Also, they have mentioned playing Monkey Island.May 6, 2012 at 3:42 am #28583Mirror’s edge is too hard for a show, even on easy there’s no guarantee you’ll finish a level in a given time. Watching fraser being stuck on the same level for an hour will not make for a good show.
Monkey island is anoter idea I never liked. It’s an awesome game, yes, but how good is it for a show? The way I see it one of two things will happen, either fraser will get stuck and just myander about, which will be VERY boring to watch, or the chat will constantly tell him exactly what you have to do to advance. I don’t know if you’ve ever played a game like MI with a walkthrough, but it’s boring as hell when someone else tells you the sollutions.
Think about how the limbo episode went, and that wasn’t even exclusively a puzzle game.I don’t mean to be a downer, but I often find that when people say what they want played on the show all they suggest are games they like or think are good, not games that makes for a good show in some way.
May 6, 2012 at 4:31 am #28584The Frage is fun in short bursts but get’s old fast if it’s prolonged and I think Mirror’s Edge would be a show of prolonged Frage. Far more fun to see them actually enjoying a game.
Fraser has said they will do the Monkey Island games in the future. I can see where Crystal is coming from though that’s assuming Fraser will get stuck, sure they’ll get stumped a good few times but watching them spend ages figuring stuff out is fun in my opinion. I’m in complete agreement with you that if the chat gave all the solutions it would be a phenomenally boring watch though. I’m looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time as it’s one of my favourite series (the first 2 games only though) and I think the humour could help carry the show well on the condition that it gels with Fraser, Fraser has expressed a somewhat negative opinion of MI in the past but later revealed he only played the first 10-20 minutes so I’m hoping he’ll get more into it as it goes on next time. If not it could be an especially painful show.
May 6, 2012 at 5:06 am #28587Yeah Mirror edge, not gonna turn into a good show, mostly it not a good game and most the mechanics fail horrible, so yeah we gonna see some frage but it gonna be sad after abit time.
May 6, 2012 at 8:50 am #28648well I’d disagree with lihje there. I don’t think the mechanics fail and I do not think it’s a horrible game. It would need some tweaking before it could be come a really good game, but all the same it’s a lot of fun.
that game Be quiet or whatever it was and also Phoenix wright did make for good shows and the gang managed to keep up pretty well with the puzzles. However the old Lucasarts games are very difficult and sometimes a bit illogical, which Fraser apparently can’t process (i gathered as much from the PW episodes). Add to that the fact that fraser gets stressed if he gets stuck and I don’t see it working out.
I could maybe see Tales of Monkey Island working. Those games are way easier, but they have really great story, so that might be fun for the show.
