You know, there’s only so much I can write here without repeating myself after a while. Welcome to the mod report, the most least boringest report in existence! YAY! I’m tired. So, let’s get this done, the same way we do every week!
Minecraft Server Update
Some of you may have noticed a small bit of down time earlier this week. This was for an update to the latest version of Craftbukkit for 1.2.5, as well as to update the plugins. This has no real effect on you (Except for maybe running a bit better), we just thought you should know. For advanced warning of server downtime in addition to this, watch this thread, or the official FFSTV IT Twitter account
Sky Build Challenge!
That’s right, we are finally announcing the sky build! This build will be a bit more strict than what you may be used to with build challenges, but the overall process will be roughly the same. Expect the application thread to be posted on Monday (The 4th), and building to begin the next Monday (The 11th), with a cutoff date of Saturday the 16th. More details will be provided in the Announcement/Application thread. Don’t fall!
Team Fortress 2 Map Vote
Those of you who play Team Fortress 2 likely already know this, but the voting thread for the three new maps is up and open for voting. The three maps up for discussion this time are koth_moonshine, cp_mainline, and pl_swiftwater, so if you like/dislike any/all of those maps, go here and vote! Voting ends Monday, so get to it!
Minecraft Survival Games
No, it’s not something on the server, but, since I mentioned Martin’s Binding of Issac stream last week, I figured it was alright. I will be hosting a Minecraft Survival Games stream on Saturday (The 9th), on my channel (Check the bottom of the post for the address). You can join us by signing up here, and signups will be accepted until Friday.
Quote/Video of the Week
It’s that time again! Only got a few this week, but I still like them.
First, we have Casual’s lament about her frequent mentions here: “lord. I just went through and counted out of curiosity and I’ve been a qotw for the mod report 9 times since it started in week 9, and every week except week 21 since week 18. On the way, I’ve either talked about or seemed to talk about butt sex, pussy, cock, screwing and boobs. And, well, yellow people. What must the users think of me D:”
Lemmy: “If I ever go to pax should I be casual or cosplay as lemmy and creep you all out”
Casual: “it would be creepier to cosplay as me”
And, because it’s something of an unofficial rule of the Quote of the Week, Nulani: “I was about to comment on Sam’s statement and land myself in the QoW again.”And now for Videos of the Week! This, and this are our videos this week, and again, nothing too stupid. I try to link stuff I would listen to/watch myself now.
That’s all for this week’s Mod Report, as with every week, watch us live at 7 PM Pacific at http://www.twitch.tv/cliffjameston or just read us here on the forums when we’re done!

Cliff Jameston. Reason: Added FFSit
June 3, 2012 at 9:08 pm #35068There’s also https://twitter.com/FFSit for heads up on down times and the like.
I expect many “____ hit the ground too hard” during the build challenge. Wonder how many will get involved with this one.
That cover is so much better. *hugs*
June 3, 2012 at 9:18 pm #35073I expect just as many. Also, I would have linked the twitter page, but I kinda forgot. Added now.
June 3, 2012 at 9:24 pm #35075*lets out a big groan* It’s gonna be a one-week build? *sigh*
Well, there goes my plans to make a super complex build.

-_- same
June 3, 2012 at 10:26 pm #35094I’m more concerned that a week may not be long enough to process all the submissions. I’m very curious to see how this build will be “a bit more strict.”

(derp, not snarf. The challenge leaders will have a system)
June 4, 2012 at 5:45 pm #35263Thanks Cas. Hmmm, we may have to expect a delay on the posting of the Challenge, and ergo a delay on its start and finish dates. Hope to see something posted soon!
June 4, 2012 at 8:04 pm #35284when is the Sky build thread going to be started?
June 5, 2012 at 1:21 pm #35515June 5, 2012 at 6:39 pm #35597You see, the “Wrath of the Lamb” DLC for Binding of Isaac came out recently.
And this lamb wanted his “Wrath” on the electric wire, but failed at executing it.
June 7, 2012 at 5:37 pm #35985As a request for future build challenges, is there any chance we could get a 2 week notification for when building starts? I’d like to take work off to do a build challenge and my job requires a 2 week notification if I’m going to take a week. I realize this is dictated by how Fraser wants to run the schedule, but it’d be a really nice thing so I don’t have to worry about my job getting in the way.
June 8, 2012 at 5:56 am #36074On the note of job schedules vs. minecraft, has it been decided when the Sky Build episode will be? On the off chance my build gets accepted or I help with another, I’ll need to switch shifts to be home in time.
