Come one, come all, to the twenty-ninth in this seemingly never-ending series of reports of what we talk about! Today’s report brings excitement! Intrigue! Romance! Action! Horror! Lies! Mystery! Food! Untold riches!
As some of you may know from being in the server, or having been told by others, the build challenge has been extended. Unfortunately, we can’t provide you with a solid air date for the show, as that is mostly up to Fraser, however, we are still potentially planning a halt on building for the 23rd of June. You may use this time to pretty up your builds, however we are not re-opening submissions, or approving more builds to be started.
We have noticed a large amount of creeper holes seem to be popping up in some communities, and would like to take the time to remind everyone that one of our rules is to try your best to patch up any creeper holes you cause.
Team Fortress Map Thoughts
We would really love it if you would take any stronger opinions about maps to the forums. It’s not about stopping anyone from talking about the maps, it’s that we still want everyone to have fun during game-play, and strong opinions tend to detract from the fun for some of our users. Neko will be making threads specific to each map so you can have more in-depth discussions on each one without detracting from the game.
Speaking of new maps, we are introducing yet another “final” version of the map. Hopefully, this fixes the problems some of you seem to be having with the older versions, and if not, as always, let us know.
Some of you have already taken to the forums complaining about the lack of balanced teams in Team Fortress seem to have at times, and we would just like to comment that it is everyone’s responsibility to keep the server awesome and welcoming. We don’t want to have to try and force you guys to be fair, so try to keep it fair yourselves. Maybe try hitting the random team button every now and then, instead of always going with a certain color.
We have had multiple reports of people trying to scam community members recently. Please try and remember to practice safe internetting skills, and let us know if you think you have been hacked, as always.
Quote/Video of the Week
As with last week, we didn’t seem to have all that many notable quotes, but I’ve managed to get you two anyways.
First, we have Mikey, with a piece of sage advice, at least for himself: “Remind me never to attack a octopus.”
And then we have ISo, reflecting on his position in the build challenge: “Am I a co-leader for the Sky build? .. I thought I was more a hired goon”
As for videos, we only have one this week, but it’s been stuck in my head all week, so now you get to have it stuck in yours, as well!
That’s all for the report this week, as always, join us for the birth of this wondrous document every Sunday at 7 PM Pacific, at http://www.twitch.tv/cliffjameston and join me for my second foray into the world of insanity for my second 24 hour stream on Wednesday the 20th, at Noon Pacific! See ya’ll either there or Sunday! Or not. It’s really up to you.June 18, 2012 at 4:43 pm #38102
For TF2 maps we need more video game themed maps, since the show is called VideoGamesAWESOME!
We should get some things like Outset Island or donkey kong or something like that for some fun! Just imagine…a map full of cats…
Long story short: Video game related maps and strange weird maps are needed as well in my opinion.June 21, 2012 at 12:46 pm #38622
