You would not believe how much I’m sick of my CRT (old box) monitor. I HAVE the power for full on HD AND 3D (even though I don’t care about that) yet I use this one…
Here is what I’m looking for;
-MAX size is 21.5″ (I’d actually prefer smaller)
-1920x1080P
-LED Screen
-HDMI Input
-Some sort of anti-glare (I use my PC next to a window and I turn on my lamp a lot to avoid eye strain)
-Non-TN type (Colors are meh and viewing angles are bad)
-The most I’ll spend (before being a baws coupon hunter) is 300$, 200$ idealyAny suggestions would be very appreciated, I’ve been looking for a while and the PERFECT screen I saw,which had EVERYTHING I wanted, was missing a HDMI port…damn it!

June 13, 2012 at 6:58 pm #37238I get that HDMI is really good but, most screens with all the stuff you want, don’t come with that. So you’re gonna need to make a sacrifice if you don’t find a perfect one.
June 13, 2012 at 7:06 pm #37239Why do you need a HDMI port?
Can’t you get something like this and use a HDMI-DVI cable?June 13, 2012 at 7:35 pm #37242laughingram:

The difference in picture quality should be very, very minor.
As far as I know, the main difference is HDMI carries sound as well, but that’s not really a problem as you can obviously put the sound out of a different output.
Of course, things differ from product to product, so it’s always worth checking to make sure it can deal with it. The one I linked should be perfect for using a HDMI output.
June 14, 2012 at 6:18 am #37283Alright,well I was searching through the interwebs and found this;
http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/monitors/LT22B350ND/ZA-features
My reaction: “Holy crap, this sounds awesome! I’m gonna find some reviews :D….what? NO OFFICIAL REVIEWS ANYWHERE!?”
Yeeeaaaaaahhhhhh…..
Truely a shame. Having a monitor HDTV combo thing would have been great for the circumstance I’m in right now. Hell, I found it for around 200$ on newegg and no reviews either…Now I shall look around the internet for days on end xDAnyone know anything if samsung is a good company for monitors? And if you have any experience/info on this particular monitor..TELL ME NOAW
June 14, 2012 at 7:47 am #37290Samsung makes some good monitors, but also low-quality ones. For that price and feature set it probably isn’t going to be great though.
June 14, 2012 at 9:21 am #37298That Samsung monitor has a strangely small internet presence.
Stranger still however is that on the “Features” page it says
“Built with two High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) inputs, ”
and on the Spec Sheet it says “HDMI : Yes “, however on several online shops it says1 x HDMI
1 x Scart
1 x SVGA
1 x USB
1 x Component
1 x CompositeAlso, there seems to be a lot of misinformation on several sites, switching between saying 24″ and 22″.
There are no listed official online retailers for it so I think it might not be released yet.Edit : Turns out, the only 3 shops online that I could find that had it listed were in actual fact owned by the same company.

June 27, 2012 at 7:22 am #39578I’m now taking a look at this one:
http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-IPS235V-BN-led-monitor/reviews#reviews
It seems like a decent buy. I’m still looking for reviews as most I’ve seen are far,FAR too dang short or it is just a list of tech specs. If anybody finds a review of this thing please tell me.
July 1, 2012 at 6:48 pm #40454These are not cheap but they are the only monitors I use. DVI to HDMI has no drop in bandwidth (picture quality) and if you can afford the 24″ model it has HDMI on the back. personally for the size you want I’d just get an adapter cable and call it done-ziez.
July 3, 2012 at 12:26 pm #40688welp i ended up getting a monitor. Still testing it out- but I’m allowed to return it anytime withi 30 days if I don’t really like it. It is an acer monitor and is pretty good. It is just weird not seeing the steam windows in a complete black. In fact it feels like there is a white film on the screen. But; I’ll just have to see if I can fix it…somehow.
July 3, 2012 at 5:04 pm #40734Welp, this monitor is going bye bye lol
Hazey quality after closer inspecton and it honestly doesn’t look HD even through HDMI xD
Thank god for full refund returns!July 9, 2012 at 9:32 am #41659 -
