I don’t really have a most hated item, I’ve learn to adapt to most any item thrown at me.

    I feel left out.

Dont be night. I really don’t mind any weapons so.. Your not alone. :)

Unless if you want to go 1 on 1 with a pyro from a dist, the enforcer feels so weak.
It’s great for far shooting though.

i don’t feel the pompon is over powered
the lasers aren’t that hard to dodge and it can really help the team with spy checking and enemies medis
the phlogistinator is not broken they already ‘nerfed’ it as they say. it isn’t invincible by any means they need to taunt to activate it and i’ve used it in a crowed and they managed to gun me down before i could get any of them. IT IS NOT A BROKEN WEAPON i like it a bunch and its by no means the worst weapon there are others that are much more anger inducing
also guys the pompson already has low damagae compared to the other engee guns and really with the spies and uber medics coming up towards u the engees need some offensive power. i think the fact that they banned it from tournaments is dumb.

Because you don’t play in them. It is a ridiculous weapon, ubercharges are basically the most important part about TF2 and the Pompson pretty much negates them single handedly.

You have a very one way point of view.

it only negates them by 10% and the laser it self is easy to dodge
its simple for medic to get behind cover and make up that 10% charge

10% for every bullet, which has a stupidly large hitbox. The fact that it takes away any charge at all makes it a ridiculous weapon. Never mind the fact it travels through solid objects and has infinite ammo.

it only travels through enemy players deals not that much damage even at point blank range it takes a bit to reload during which an enemy can easily blow the engee sky high a medic who gets hit even once would naturally alert teammates with heavier firepower to take out that engee

tgorman what you forget is that distance plays no role in how much damage the pomson deals(apart from point blank dealing a little bit more), from long range the shotgun would deal 10 maybe 20 damage at best, whereas the pomson deals much more, can hit multiple people at once and can only be dodged by by side-stepping it. The Hitbox is so big that you have to evade it by quite a big amount and it breaks the way medic is played, usually the medic can hide behind the heavy and is fine, but the pomson just passes through the heavy and the medic can’t even evade it, and bam has 10-30% less uber charge which might take him quite a while to build up again.

the odds of the pompon hitting multiple targets is very slim unless there all standing in a straight line and its not as if the weapon is completely invincible
there are ways to get behind it and evade it a medic or spy worried about the pomson should be able to coordinate with their team to take out the pompon wielding engee

That works if the engy is just in the open field but if he’s with his well-positioned level 3 it’s close to impossible to take him out if he just gets one hit on the medic every once in a while. If you’re very good at aiming with this thing it’s just straightout overpowered, no weapon should be able to destroy an uber without actually killing the medic. Medics should always have an uber if they survive long enough it shouldn’t depend on the enemy team wielding a certain weapon.

unless things are really bad an engee usually focuses on maintaing there sentry since its usually under fire which can give a spy or a demo or any long range class opportunity to take out the engee. and it isnt over powered at all again low power easy to dodge and i’ve played with it before on many occassions and i have never seen the weapons very large hitbox and its also very hard to aim at the medic and only the medic in a chaotic fire fight where u have to be wary of spies and projectiles from so many directions and medics usually (with the odd exception of course) stay behind the more offensive classes and wait until their uber is built up to maximum so they unleash it as soon as they get in the thick of things making the pomson’s uber draining effect not effective in that situation

guys can we not argue over the pomson anymore?
You guys hate it I like it we’re not going to change each others minds about this me thinks
And though i disagree with some of your opinions over it’s use on the field I completly respect your right to dislike it.

Actually, I want to join in this argument.

When I play as an engineer and use this gun, unless if the enemy can not see or heading down a narrow hallway, they can easily dodge it..
    Learn it’s collision box.

Second, as an engineer we need to do everything possible to defend our stuff. It takes us a while to build, and then we have a heavy medic coming towards me, and there’s little chance of me defending..Really hate demomans as well in this case.

Third, as a spy when a medic is ubered, I feel so useless because all I can do is wait. No one can stop them, just knock them back a bit. So an engineer can help counter this. There should never ever be a time where someone is overpowered, and a uber feels too overpowered to me.

Question: If a heavy or scout drinks/eats something that gives them mini-crits..is it still in effect while ubered? If so, then this is another way the engineer can counter.
