Maya’s voice really steamed my beans…. until it grew on me like a parasite.
May 5, 2012 at 9:58 am #28417I like all the voices he’s done, with the exception of the old boat caretaker. My favorite’s probably Larry’s serious voice, the Judge, and Gumshoe. :D
May 5, 2012 at 7:38 pm #28527I love maya’s voice. and I like the judges voice top. but I think fraser kinda failed at tommy wasue’s voice for yanni yogi. cause to me it sounded less like tommy wasue. and more like a very stoned. polly shore.
May 5, 2012 at 11:06 pm #28565I like the Gumshoe voice the most but after a while of Maya’s voice growing on me it’s starting to become even between the two.
May 6, 2012 at 8:57 am #28652I still don’t like the maya voice. It doesn’t annoy me any more, except fro when he tries to do the mischievous flirty thing, which he completely misses the point of. Also it’s a bit distracting that Mia and Maya have completely different dialects, but I’m not that bothered by it.
Worst voice was the one he used for lotta. I mean really guys, can’t you thknk of something that’s a little bit funnier than someone going AAABADAAABADAAABAcamera? I also liekd watching those episodes while doing other stuff, since the graphics aren’t that important. But because of that I had to read the words or I couldn’t know what she was saying.
As for what I liked that’s easy. Edgeworth, Gumshoe, The judge, Grossberg (when he wasn’t farting, see above), Phoenix (when he wasn’t yelling MMMBOOBIEZ, again, we’re not 5 are we?), that crepy nerd guy, Larry and even Oldbag worked very well for me. Mostly I think because Fraser could do those voices good enough to act with them. That made them much more enjoyable.
May 7, 2012 at 12:54 pm #28953I like the voices Fraser uses because it is something I wouldn’t expect but he makes it work.
It sounds surprisingly believeable to me, but that’s probably because I watch the pictures and envision them speaking with those accents. Maya’s voice was kind of shocking, but I got used to it quickly. It makes me laugh and once you stop thinking “This isn’t Maya’s voice” and start thinking “This is Maya’s voice” it gets a lot easier to ease into. However, I did notice a slight voice change in Edgeworth’s that threw me off for a bit, but I endured it and eventually was alright with that too.
