I’m currently playing Soul Silver and decided to make a thread about Pokemon Games :)

Which game is your favorite?
What Pokemon that you raised from any game did you like most?
What was your favorite pokemon nickname?

My favorite game was emerald, I’m very fond of my Mudkip from sapphire, and in soul silver i named my Cyndaquil, Pyro, and it’s really growing on me ^_^. What about yall?

Only real pokemon games were Blue and Red. Rest are just posers. I was a Blue person myself, so of course I had a sweet Blastoise. Blastoise is one damn fine pokemon.

I started playing when the first games came out. I was really into them for a while, but I kind of fell out of it after I finished Emerald. I’ve recently been interested in Black/White 2, despite a lot of the new Pokemon designs looking really stupid.

My favorite is, without a doubt, Crystal version.

woo, love me some pokemanz

for me, the series just gets more refined with every entry. like, the plot and gameplay are all close enough that it really doesn’t make a difference, but it just seems to me like the experience is overall made better every game

So for me, my current favorite pokemanz games are HG/SS. 5th gen really didn’t add that much to the core mechanics, so i’m fine with picking a 4th gen game as my favorite. It just felt the most streamlined and full of content to me. While B/W had several steps forward, some of the arbitrary removal of stuff from HG/SS and the smaller/more linear world put it juuuuust behind HG/SS.

nowadays, though, I really don’t have the time to put in to making decent teams in pokemon or working on collecting as many as i can. I mean, I still play the games through, but I get most of my gameplay through battle sims like Pokemon Online. I mean, I absolutely love the competitive aspect of Pokemon, as it’s very deep and customizable, but the design of the games themselves do NOT compliment making a competitively viable team (i’d love if the next gen removed IVs, made controlling natures and abilities easier, and cut down the max level)

besides playing pokemon battle sims, my OTHER favorite thing to do is bash 1st gen, so if you’re into that kinda thing, hit me up

also best music in a pokemon game is g/s/c lance/red battle 4ever

i have to say Blue and Ruby are my Favorites. Not saying the others are bad or anything. HG/SS are a nice reboot addition to the series and it shows people still care about the older games.

Ohhh Pokemon games, I love those. Loved them for years, ever since I got Pokemon Red on gameboy.
I dunno what game I’d say is my favorite, but Diamond/Pearl were my least favorite games. Those are okay, but I just prefer other ones over those.

Gyarados is among my favorite pokemons. Because it’s awesome. I also like Sandlash, Mareep, Breloom… Ehh, It’s just easier if you take a look at this picture from this one site where you choose your favourite from two pokemon until you’ve gone though them all and it sorts out your supposed top 10 pokemon. Those are all pokemon that I rather enjoy, though the order isn’t entirely correct :P

Nowadays I’ve been mostly playing pokemon with the Nuzlocke rules, I even have a pokemon nuzlocke comic going on in my Deviantart and so on. Nuzlockes are fun C:

I like Black and White the most because it is the most refined edition and a nice mix of Pokemon. It also helped that I decided way before its release that I would avoid any news about the games so I can experience them fresh, like how I started as a kid with the Gameboy ones. I plan on doing the same thing once Black and White 2 releases in Japan.

Speaking of releases, Pokemon Conquest is coming out on Monday. I’ll be sure to ruin this thread with my babbling once I start playing it. I’m excited for the game but also not too sure what to expect and how I’ll receive it.

Anyways, there’s another thing that came out recently. You guys have played the Trading Card Game on the Gameboy, right? And you know that there was a sequel of it that was never released outside of Japan, yeah? Want to play it but can’t understand moonspeak? i havent play it for awhile but i really want a blaziken with speed boost >< blaziken is my favorite pokemon but he speed suck so that speed boost turn him into a sweeper XD
