How do you trade in TF2? So far when I ask to trade something, it’s someone else who has to activate the trade.

I’m F2P but I got an actual trading item that someone gave me. However, since it’s my only tradable item, I figure I’d use it to get the “Saharan spy”. Actually, I got two other tradable items but they’re both weapons I don’t want to give up.

even though items are tradeable, you cant trade with other players as a F2P player, to trade you need to buy atleast 1 item from the Mann Co Shop, with the cheapest item being something aorund 0.70 cents for me.

if you dont have a premium account (buy buying 1 item) you cannot trade

Actually, whilst I’ve never tried it myself, the official wiki claims that a F2P can ‘trade items that have been traded to them’
Also, the trading page expands that and claims, ‘F2P players can not trade TF2 items with a few exceptions, such as tools like the Name Tag and the Description Tag they may have found, and any items traded to them by premium users.’

To be fair, I never knew f2p people could trade, so thought I’d clear it up for everyone :)

You really ought to buy yourself a crate key or a $1 bundle set, once you’re a premium member, you’ll get a lot more benefits.

There’s little reason to buy. All I really care about and use is the spy.
Besides copy weapons(no stat diff) I’m just missing the following

Conniver’s Kunai – I need more skill before I should even use this.
Diamondback – I don’t have much gun skill so no rush here.
Familiar Fez – Has some interesting bonus effects(I have the other weapons for this effect)

That’s all I need at this point.
