    Good luck.

I drew up some really awesome maps… a king of the hill called Alpine Valley and a payload called Aqueduct. Spent tons of time balancing them on paper (adding usable but not invincible sniper/engi points, sneak-arounds for spies, closed areas for pyros/heavies… something for everybody)… I had it all working properly, balanced nicely, chose a consistent aesthetic…

and then i realized hammer is a terrible tool to work with. >_<

Have you checked out tf2maps.net yet?

If you haven’t, then that’s probably the place to go for all your map questions

I have, just don’t know how to test it (I don’t have a server)

Also hammer is very useful if you know how to use it Cameralady. Btw I have a concept of a map based of you.

The default one Valve uses, Hammer. It’s Source SDK in Steam

have the .bsp in your maps folder and type “map mapname” into your console when you want to test it

I suggest making a facepunch thread on the construction of this map soonish, you’d probably get some better feedback there than you would here. Not to imply that no one here doesn’t have anything good to say.

I’ve always wanted a facepunch account. I was to lazy, so I’ll get one now. (soonish)

Sorry for lack of updates folks!
After my school year ends (early May) I will be devoting HUG amounts to this project!
    Sorry for the weight

Jeez my schedule doesn’t like free time. Expect this map to be in a release candidate after Skybuild for Minecraft

I’m liking this map so far, it looks very anti-pyro >=)

I also love the idea of turbo-based maps in TF2, though I can’t help but wonder how hard it is to base an entire map around one person. I suppose of that person is charismatic like Neko or… Aquaman it would be much easier but still, it’s not a ton to work with.

Actually with my newest improvements I added a lot more rooms so Pyros will be useful on the flanks.

It’s also pretty easy for map themes. Like with your name for example I could make 1 half of the map electrified and the other half all firery.
