that would require dedicated players, who can meet deadlines. like i sometimes log on minecraft for few days and sometimes i dont for a while, but i could surely help.
Plus, what should i be doing with that automated farm?

I joined the server recently, but I like what the idea behind this community. Is there a possibility that I could join?

@zejans I don’t have a problem with it, but sully might ask you to move it if he ever plans on expanding his farm.

@flamx we accept anyone into our town. We only have a couple rules, mostly that anything built on the “plains” side of the river needs to be pre-approved first. Anything on the “residential” side of the river requires no pre-approval, though I do recommend you put effort in to it; nobody likes a cobblebox. Anything in the community chest is available to all members, just don’t be greedy.

Glad to hear it. I’ll be working around the area then.

Hey guys, should we build some type of ghast farm in the nether for ghast tears, or should we not bother with them?

I wouldn’t know how to construct a ghast farm, though the tower I’ve built should provide an excellent vantage point for archers in the area.

Ghast tears are something we would like more of once the production facilities get underway, so yeah, go ahead with whatever you have in mind.

i have started building ghast farm. Is not yet finished, is a bit tricky. just use our nether portal and next to dreams netherwart farm is walkway to the ghast farm(and my netherwart farm that can be used by anyone). If anyone want to help, the halfslabbing of the local area around the ghast farm is a bit laborious.

By the way, we have a huge overstock of cobblestone in the basement of the community chest. I doubt you’ll be going for aesthetics, but even if you are, just remember that ghasts are explosive.

hey guys, I thought I’d make an update about the city; someone’s been making roads around the place on both sides of the river. While I appreciate the idea, I removed the walls on certain parts as they effectively cut off some houses in the residential district, and I don’t want that. Also, in the future, we should discuss road planning here first. Our town is still in development, and we may need room to expand or do terraforming in the future. Street planning should come after we already have buildings up; for now I think it’d be best if we used temporary cobble or gravel paths just not to get lost. the rest of the roads will be left as is unless they need to be removed.

Also, as a reminder, we still have open submissions for the town square; we need to fill up the plains district with useful buildings, and I believe most of you are done with your own houses anyway, so if you’re looking for a new project, that’s one option.

are we going to have farms somewhere near town center? So if we need official community farms i can build them, like i have built them for myself in my backyard

Sully’s farm is the official community farm, between him and you I don’t think we’ll be needing any more. The community chest already has an overstock of wheat, melon and wool, so unless things change we’ll keep things as is. The town center will be more urban and have buildings like a courthouse, armory, etc.

I’d like to announce that The Empyrean is officially back online. I’m sorry for the two month hiatus, but I had needed a break from minecraft before it started driving me crazy. Anyways, I’m back, I’ve been making some improvements, and I have plans for growing the community.

    1. We are still accepting new members. This is very important because I’ve noticed that virtually none of the current members have been active while I was around. I would very much appreciate any new and active members.

    2. We will be entering the sky build challenge when it is announced. Tentatively my idea is to recreate the Aether mod, but we can agree on a different idea if anyone who is joining the community project has a better idea.

    3. We will apply for an above-ground portal. Even if you haven;t been active lately, I would gladly accept any donations from you to pay for upgrading our portal.

    4. New buildings are on their way; more to be added later.

I’m trying to be on the server more I was on a similar break from the old minecraft wheel. So I’m happy to donate to a portal and to help with the continued construction of the empyrean.

Fantastic, I probably should also mention, I’ve added a tree farm and stuff, but we’re starting to run low on certain materials in the community chest, namely wood, smelted stone, fuel, and certain colors of wool. I’ve been collecting as much wood as I can, but I can use help there too. We have a huge excess of cobblestone as well, so feel free to smelt it on your own time (you can use wood in the chest, wood slabs are apparently the most efficient) and add it back to the community chest.
