I noticed we don’t have a thread for replays from our server, so please post your replays here!

I just uploaded my first TF2 replay (and my first youtube video). Not really a big deal, but it was just an over all pretty hilarious match yesterday.

Nice idea. I’ll throw one in here too.

How do you do embeds here? I couldn’t figure it out D:

That video is awesome, I never managed to reflect arrows myself. Also nice editing.

Thanks. Was my first time with the TF2 replay editor. What I had tried to save was a little better than that, like it had a longer time behind Dragriff before he shot, for example, but it didn’t save that for whatever reason. Oh well.

I had some trouble originally figuring out how to embed them as well. Then I noticed the “youtube” button on the toolbar above the “Reply” box. I had never seen a youtube embed button before on a toolbar, so of course I wouldn’t look there normally. Click that, copy and paste the link to your vid into the box, hit Apply, and you’re done.

Also for reflecting arrows, unless you just get lucky, you actually have to see the sniper fire and time it based off of his arm movement and the distance between you two. Even then, its pretty difficult, especially when there is a lot of other stuff going on around you / between you two. The reason I say you have to see the moment the sniper fires is because an arrow aimed at you is very difficult to see until it is right in front of you, at which point it is too close to get an airblast off in time. Maybe others can do it, but whenever I get an arrow that isn’t luck, its because I’m waiting for it and watching the sniper. Your video, you got a pretty hefty amount of rockets blasted back. My reaction time isn’t good enough at that close of range to do it reliably. At that close I’m gambling with the airblast time, and I usually come out the loser. Koodoos to you for those =P

Another one of me reflecting arrows. This time Fraser is the unlucky recipient. Saw the first one miss him, and his mini-sentries were bothersome the previous round, so I decided to change my target =P

Awesome. I can’t really target anything with reflects, just pure luck for me.

Well aiming back at soldiers isn’t too difficult because of how head-on it is. Just point the crosshair at them, or better yet, at the ground they’re on. Reflecting at an angle is hard though, yea. I think that is only the third time I’ve done it successfully (on purpose, I mean. Accidents don’t count). I find it easier to sidestep where the projectile will be so I’ll have a better angle for airblasting it to where I want it (since it will attempt to go to where my crosshair is aiming, though grenades and jars need you to aim up as if you shot / threw them yourself since they travel in an arc).

It will aim at wherever your crosshair is. Doesn’t matter what direction it came to you at!
