For about 10 weeks now me and a whole bunch of other people have been working on a game based around wingsuit skydiving. Today marks the end of that project and so, here and now, I intend to share it with you.

The game is supposed to be up and available for download pretty soon, I’ll link it here if anyone’s interested.
June 1, 2012 at 8:13 am #34369Get this shit on show and trailer NAO!
Any chance of you getting Fraser a free copy so you can guilt him into playing it on the show?
June 1, 2012 at 8:23 am #34375Does look really really cool. Can’t wait to play it.
June 1, 2012 at 8:25 am #34377I’m interested for sure. It looks like a lot of fun. Just a couple of questions:
1. Is the slow-mo in the trailer actually part of the game? Because is looked really cool.
2. What platforms will it be on? (Steam, XBLA, regular PC download ect.)
3. Will there be some kind of leaderboard system?June 1, 2012 at 9:58 am #34385Looks great, I’m impressed
June 1, 2012 at 11:42 am #34409Loving this. To answer you gear:
1. Yes the slow mo is in the game, but not in split screen.
2. The game is for PC, but is played with an xbox controller.
3. There is a highscore system, but no online leaderboards. This was a school project and is basically a proof of concept game. There are plans to launch into development of an actual game (Better engine, more than one level, more game modes, etc.) I believe the plan is to release this game (which is basically done now) for free and then start looking at making a proper version.
June 1, 2012 at 3:57 pm #34463Wtf is this? No dubstep? This isn’t a real trailer!
June 1, 2012 at 10:13 pm #34563well SOME of us don’t jump on every fad.
I’m working on a website right now, I hope to get it up and running by tonight (saturday).
EDIT: one where you can download the game obviously.

June 9, 2012 at 11:20 am #36387Too bad my brother took back his Xbox 360 controller. Will you put in an option for WASD or arrow keys in the future?
June 9, 2012 at 11:40 am #36394Looks very cool.
June 9, 2012 at 11:49 am #36398Looks pretty impressive! Nicely done :D
June 9, 2012 at 1:06 pm #36432June 10, 2012 at 11:01 am #36646Wow. This is impressive. Definitely worth a spot on Show and Trailer and even some play time on the show. We should convince Frash to do it at least as part of an indie encore after one of their regular shows.
What was your role in the development? And how big of a team was behind this?
June 12, 2012 at 4:54 pm #37098Sorry, almost forgot about this thread.
I was a technical artist on the project (a technical artist does a lot of behind the scenes stuff that you might not see as such) I also made the tutorial video for the game. The team consisted of a total of 17 people, which is a lot, but not quite as much as it sounds. Put it this way, many of us put in a lot of overtime to get done on time, myself included (sat for about 10 hours on a Sunday for instance).
Yeah like code said the WASD thing has been fixed, if anyoen finds any more things they’d like to comment on you could either post it here or send it to the email that we’ve FINALLY got set up, SkydiveTheGame@gmail.com.
I’m gonna try pestering Kshade a bit to see if we can get it on the show, I might even let fraser in on the super-secret easter egg (it might be the most awesome easter egg ever produced, at any rate fraser will probably love it).
