I dunno, it’s kind of weird to me.. I think this might be the first time Treyarch disappoints me.

Edit: Forget what I said. Zombies is gonna be in here. And going to the best yet! Treyarch doesn’t disappoint me atleast :)
Edit: Qoute from this place (5/03/2012)
“Our zombies fans want more zombies,” he revealed somewhat unsurprisingly. Hang on though, he’s going somewhere with this. “They literally want more zombies and they want more ways to play” (see). That means Black Ops 2 will be expanding on what the previous games have done before with the undead.
“They want bigger maps” says Lamia. “They want even more interesting things to do inside these levels. So we are crafting new worlds, creating new game modes and bigger worlds.” Much of what this new zombies will bring is partly due to an undead tech upgrade. “We’ve actually put [zombies] inside of our multiplayer engine and it’s capable of doing twice as many zombies, twice as many co-op players.”
Eight player zombies is more than just a bigger set up, it’s changing the entire game. “There are actually new modes,” says Lamia. “There’s classic mode that you guys are used to but there are going to be new modes. [Twice as many co-op players] introduces some interesting new gameplay modes. Perhaps you can think of some team game modes where there might be fun to be had?”
It all sounds like zombies is getting an upgrade from COD accompaniment to full blown main feature. Lamia finishes by saying, “There’s a lot there. It’s its own game mode. There’s a totally new creative fiction. We’re going for it this time on zombies.”
Holy crap, I’m loving Treyarch thus far. Now I don’t even care for the Main-game anymore!
Also Gamestop offers 4 Pre-orders 1 has already been revealed the other 3 will be announced along the way
You get all 4 if you pre-order before the next comes out (Then you lose the one before it)
Pre-order 1: Double Sided Poster
Pre-order 2: Revealed on 7/01
Pre-order 3: Revealed in August
Pre-order 4: Revealed in October
Bonus: MW3 Prestige TokenAmazon offers an exclusive Desktop Wallpaper (Yay..)
Edit: Engine the game is running on (05/04/12)
As always this game will be on a Modified IW 3.0 engine.
Treyarchs games have all been on this same engine and have been updating it everytime.
Personally I find it weird, because the “IW 5.0″ engine isn’t going to be used or even the 4.0.
I know the reason for this is because they’re used to the 3.0 Engine, but isn’t change for this kinda needed now?Edit: Rumored Multiplayer info. Info from here. (05/05/12)

May 1, 2012 at 11:55 pm #27716>:| why were they riding horses if this was supposed to be in the future and with robot and stuffs?
May 2, 2012 at 3:06 am #27725As many problems as I have with the COD franchise and its community (with a few exceptions), you can always count on them to make a spectacularly balls-out campaign. I just hope it’s more substantial than the ones in recent COD games.
May 2, 2012 at 8:51 am #27780I’m excited for this…..but then again I am excited for every COD game that comes out :/
May 2, 2012 at 11:03 am #27821Hmm I’m not sure what to make of it. I really liked the first one. I thought the single player was underrated as I found the story quite interesting. The online play was a massive step up from Modern warfare 2 as well. I especially liked the in game money so you could just unlock what you wanted. All that said MW3 has to be one of the most disappointing sequels I’ve ever played. I thought it was very boring and lazy (the campaign did pick up at the end). The online took a huge step back to MW2 level annoyance. It’s kinda put me off the series. But then this is Treyarch so it could be a more polished version of the first Black ops. I think I’ll wait a while after release this time.
May 2, 2012 at 11:21 am #27830Well I have to give Treyarch credit, at least with the first Black Ops, they took chances and made some changes to the Call of Duty franchise; hopefully this will continue that pattern. I don’t mind the setting at all as Battlefield 2142 turned out a success. It’s whether or not they can keep it from getting stale that will be the primary concern. As the others mentioned, they should try and keep the campaign story strong. And while Frank Woods’ inclusion may seem implausible, I take it as a sign that they’re focusing on keeping the story engaging (too bad they can’t include Reznov )=. )
I kinda hope they take even greater chances this time; I heard a rumor that Sledgehammer was going to make MW3 more of an open world Action/adventure game, which I can see turning out alright, but obviously that never happened.
May 2, 2012 at 11:37 am #27838I’ve always had faith in Treyarch. I’ve loved each game they made World at War, Black Ops, and I’m sure I’ll like this one. But, of course they all had their faults but, Treyarch seems to make bold changes that benefit the franchise well.
May 2, 2012 at 6:50 pm #27922I checked the COD wiki, and they confirmed that there will be MAJOR departures in gameplay. The campaign will be more sandbox and include optional “strike force” missions that effect the outcome of the story. I’ll admit, I’m genuinely excited now. They’re breathing new life into a stale franchise. This could be awesome.

Also, David Goyer, the writer for Dark Knight, is attached to the project. Definitely a good sign.

Treyarch doesn’t disappoint. I’m telling you. This is why I love them so <3
May 2, 2012 at 7:12 pm #27930I didn’t really come around to liking them until Black Ops. I thought Call of Duty 3 was pretty bland, and I had problems with World At War’s multiplayer (mostly I experienced ungodly lag), but yeah, they’re a good studio now.
May 2, 2012 at 7:14 pm #27931I’m meh about this… this just doesn’t WOW me like it used to… :/

(Atleast to me cause I never had that bad of lag it was hiccups but nothing unplayable)
I have never played CoD 3. I entered the Series at World at War and to this day, that remains my favorite then Black Ops and then MW3 (But that’ll hopefully be replaced by Black Ops 2)
May 3, 2012 at 2:07 pm #28059Please read the newest update I found. Sounds very promising. :D (Top)
May 4, 2012 at 8:44 pm #28295I’d thought I’d like to put this out there. I will be trying to keep this as up to date as possible with news and updates on the game. If you got anything I don’t have yet, please message me with it.
