You know, seeing as they’re making such an awesome effort to make Zombies so awesome, I might actually consider getting this game, perhaps after the price drops. Of course the campaign will be amazingly balls-to-the-wall, and Zombies will be awesome to play with Steam friends. I will be avoiding the multiplayer like the plague, but still, could be fun.
May 5, 2012 at 11:49 am #28443Have you played Cod4? Yea that was when Infinity Ward actually had brains. World at War is still my favorite and I can’t wait for Black Ops 2.
PS The horses are from a mission in the 80s

I played a small bit of CoD4, I can say it was good. Although I still prefer Treyarchs stuff, MW2 and MW3 are pretty much lack of effort to me.
And thank you for addressing the horse thing, I forgot to respond to that.
May 5, 2012 at 11:52 am #28447Actually, Infinity Ward practically doesn’t exist anymore. At least, all the staff that made the original games are no longer there; they got sued into oblivion by Activision after some legal spat when MW2 got released.

May 5, 2012 at 11:56 am #28449I blame that mostly on the “new guys” who still make up IW’s staff (the company did double in size between COD4 and MW2). They clearly didn’t share their original vision of creating a “soldier’s story” and just wanted to make setpiece eyecandy. Basically they missed the point of why IW split off from the Medal of Honor franchise in the first place.
May 5, 2012 at 12:30 pm #28456Still, horrible game, horrible company.

(Community Manager) but, IW has had a hard time because of the Sueing and the CEO gone. And I really don’t want this thread to become an IW bashing thread.

Well most of us hate them. Kinda hard to not talk about them when you talk about CoD

Just keep it on a down low, this is after a Black Ops 2 thread.
May 5, 2012 at 5:10 pm #28492Black Ops 2 is the first game to interest me since 4. Seriously, parts where you don’t shoot AND an actual good writer? I approve.

That game was a milestone for the series. But, yes I do agree, this has gotten me really interested in the series since World at War. I mean Modern Warfare had a cool idea of story but, didn’t execute it correctly. I dunno.. This could indeed become TOO advanced (no pun intended) for it’s own good, and ruin Treyarchs Rep and my love for them.
By the way, I’d like to add some speculations I’ve come up with.
From the rumored multiplayer information I found. It seems that Shotguns (as always will be a primary only) and Rocket Launchers/Grenade Launchers will be from Carepackages only although Vehicular-Launcher only type Launchers might be an option. Sniper-Rifles might go back to there original states of CoD4/5. Bullet hitzones will affect the player accordingly to the zone (I.E. Bullets to the leg won’t kill you or hopefully Throwing Knife to the foot won’t kill you). There will be a ‘type’ of last stand but, depending on how you were shot you might not be able to get in the last bullet. Leveling will be a bit more ‘tougher’, I guess. Objectives are now very much so a MUST for players (I.E. They score you more now). Pistols might be your only secondary option again (CoD4/5 style). Killsteaks will be in the same branches: Assault/Support/Specialist. Many player-controlled killstreaks will be dropped. Combat Training is going to be more or less like a real Multiplayer game. Maps will be all ground-level combat and have generalized gun-type play zones. Many Game-ending/Non-bullet (Flame Thrower and Etc.) will be removed. Perks are going to be re-balanced and what they do. Proficiencys from MW3 will now be included within Pro-Perks.May 6, 2012 at 8:16 am #28631Call of Duty: Black Ops 2: Super Modern Warfare? XD
