I think it’s not the server’s problem, I’ve had to download maps recently due to switching computers (I’m downloading Railbridge right now).

First thing’s first, do you have downloads enabled? Under the Multiplayer tab in Options, there’s a dropdown list concerning what can or cannot be downloaded to your game. Unless it’s set to “Allow all custom files from server” or “Only allow map files”, you won’t be able to download any custom maps.

You can’t view names/descriptions on items, which is probably the biggest problem at the moment (even though it’s not really at all).

Like I said, it will be forced on you next Tuesday, so doing it now saves you waiting half an hour to do it then when the update’s out.

Yes, it’s been loading maps significantly faster for me now (I’d say about 2 seconds where it could take 10 before).

Server’s been updated now, and now that you can play on any server, there’s no real reason to switch back once you’ve switched to it. Besides, it gets forced on anyone who’s not switched next Tuesday.

Just saying, the deadline for that map contest you’ve linked to was over 2 months ago…
