But Iron Man has always been one of my favorite comics, and just… why did they have to do that to Mandarin!? It would be like making The Joker a simple circus clown.

There was a real Mandarin in the first film right? There’s always a chance the actual one will return in a later film, so they didn’t really ruin the character.

I actually enjoy it when movies don’t follow the source material to the letter, but are inspired by them, as long as the writing is good.

I really liked the anime version of Welcome to NHK. The manga was just as good, but I liked the ending of the anime much more. And it’s also one of the few damn good dubs out there.
